Composer / Music Director
Composer and music director Toshiyuki Muranaka crafts music primarily for television dramas, anime, musicals, and stage productions, encompassing everything from Gekiban music and vocal works to the overall musical direction and design of an entire production.
Drawing on the sense of breath and physicality he developed as a cellist, he closely interprets the pauses between lines, the emotions of the characters, and the pace of the narrative to create melodies and musical worlds unique to each work. His strengths lie in a compositional command that moves fluidly across jazz, rock, and classical idioms, as well as in crafting memorable melodies that linger in the minds of audiences.
His credits include the music for the WOWOW × Lemino drama series 『Kenzo Kitakata Suikoden』 and the TV anime『MARS RED』, as well as the score for the Toho musical『CROSS ROAD』. He has also served as composer and music director for numerous stage productions, including Bun-O FUJISAWA's 『READING HIGH』and『VOICARION』series.
